HSE Business Incubator
The Business Incubator together with the Institute of Innovation Management jointly develops and implements educational projects in innovative entrepreneurship. The Business Incubator is a department at the Higher School of Economics designed to help students create and develop successful businesses. At the Business Incubator, students can learn the most advanced methods of business startups. The Business Incubator organizes regular events such as master classes by successful members of the business community, business project competitions, educational programmes etc. These are open to everyone. The business incubator supports innovative startups in all fields and all startups can access resources and expert help at the Incubator. The most promising startups can enter a competitive selection process for free office space.
IRP Group (Institute of Regional Policy)
In 2011 the Institute of Innovation Management carried out a set of research, analytical and organizational work for the IRP Group related to the preparation of the Innovative Project Competition and launch of the R&D Directors’ Club, both of which were announced as part of the Ural International Exhibition and Forum of Industry and Innovations ‘Innoprom-2011’. The IRP Group (Institute of Regional Policy) is a consulting company founded in 2005. The IRP Group is involved in strategic, investment and communication consulting. It provides a wide range of services, from spatial development strategies and expert support in corporate and public development policies to large investment project organization, investment conferences and economic forums.
Venture Business News monthly provides information support for events organized by the HSE Institute of Innovation Management. Venture Business News is a project by Bargan News, an independent media group, founded in March 2010 with the participation of DowJones, a global leader in business analytics. The project was initiated by a team of like-minded people and brought together both media professionals and venture business experts. The project is self-financing, which allows it to stay independent in terms of topics and ideology. Unique materials by the DowJones group are published under license. It publishes daily news from the venture market, science and technology, analysis from leading experts in the industry, forecasts and rankings of venture market development in Russia and the world, as well as interviews with prominent researchers and businessmen.
Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS)
The HSE Institute of Innovation Management is responsible for running a competition of youth innovation projects in ICT for MTS. In 2010 the IIM carried out research into the launch of a communication network designed for external innovation project developers based on Open Innovation principles. MTS is a leading telecommunications operator in Russia and countries of the CIS., As of December 31, 2010, the group, including its subsidiaries, had over 108.1 million mobile subscribers in Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Belarus, a region that boasts a total population of more than 230 million. The Group’s fixed business, as of December 31, 2010, included a total of 9.9 million households, 1.8 million broadband Internet and 2.6 million pay-TV subscribers.
